History of the Golf Club at Copper Valley

The golf course opened as Saddle Creek Golf Club on July 1, 1996 with 180 rounds played on opening day. A sandwich shop was later opened in the Pro Shop which is now the Copper Valley Properties Sales Center.

The Lodge opened its doors in March of 2000. Designed by Architect Arnold C. Savraan the Lodge has a welcoming feel along with a spectacular presence as you drive along the lane leading to the Lodge’s porte-cocheres entrance.

Since opening, the course has received numerous awards, including recognition as the 10th best public access course in the state of California by Golfweek Magazine in 2013. In 1997, Golf Digest voted Saddle Creek the seventh best New Upscale golf course in the U.S. Golf Digest has also rated Saddle Creek four and a half stars. Only Pebble Beach and Spyglass Hill are rated higher in California with five stars. It is nice to be in such prestigious company.
